Don’t confuse generosity with generosity. Do you think you’re an unappreciated super-hero? Many times in life we feel like we have the weight of the world on our shoulders. We’ll tell ourselves, “if I don’t do it, then no one will”. This week Catherine and Donald talk about hero complexes and how they lead to overeating. We use food as a reward for being exhausted, overwhelmed, and under appreciated. Eventually, trying to take on everyone else’s problems is detrimental to your own mental and physical health. You won’t be able to take care of others if you don’t take care of yourself and the real truth is that you might be doing it to avoid your own problems. The Tip of The Week (TOW!) is to set your scale to kilograms. The Product of the Week (POW!) is a yoga mat. Plus, Donald mentions prime China White for some reason, Catherine doesn’t care what’s “on fleek”, and you learn that both pierogies and monkeys are delicious. Listen this week and take your first step in going from Co-Dependent to Independent.
