A herring is a type of fish that Lew Zealand from the Muppets uses in his boomerang fish act. A Red Herring is a logical fallacy and a device used by authors to mislead and distract their audience. When it comes to health and fitness goals, we can be masters of the red herring. Focusing on distractions and irrelevant information rather than focusing on what we’re eating and how much we’re moving can become a way of life. This week, Catherine and Donald talk about how to identify your red herrings and how to put your focus back on what’s really important. Plus, Catherine went to College USA, Donald counts down from 900, and no one knows if you get “lost in the reeds” or “lost in the weeds”.
